The bookings with the hotels mentioned in the program depend on availability. Reservations will only be made after your booking.

In case the mentioned hotels are not available during the requested period, we will do our best to book a hotel in the same class for you- of course after consulting you.

GORILLA AND CHIMP PERMITS

It is not possible to ‘reserve’ gorilla and chimpanzee permits. Therefore, we can only buy them after your bookings/down-payment and it all depends on availability.

TRANSPORT

We bring quality to your fore sight, with great customized safari vehicles (4×4) for easy wildlife viewing. All clients will have a dedicated window seat. Your professional driver/guide will be at your disposal for questions or translations.

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda

Meet and greet with your tour guide upon arrival at Entebbe airport. Transfer to your overnight hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Guineafowl Entebbe

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Following an early morning breakfast, you will depart Kampala and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. Journey time is about 5-hour drive. Expect to arrive early afternoon and relax the rest of the day in preparation for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest is regarded as one of the best places to see chimps because its known as primate capital of the world and home to highest concentration of primates in Africa. There are chimps along with 12 other primate species. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimp trekking - Kibale

This morning you will head out to the visitor center to meet guides for a briefing on chimp trekking. You will be led by rangers into the jungle in search for chimps. Once they are found, you are allowed to view chimps for an hour taking pictures and observing how they interact with each other. After seeing chimps, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you may go for a community walk in Bigodi Community swamp. It’s a good place to watch birds and monkeys as well as interact with local guide about local culture. Return for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

This is Uganda’s most visited park and home to lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, Uganda kob, tree climbing lions and over 600 bird species. The journey to the park is about 2-hour drive and takes you through crater lakes with a backdrop of Rwenzori Mountains. Arrive early afternoon and take a boat cruise on Kazinga channel. The Kazinga channel, which connects Lake George and Edward, is a major watering spot for large herds of elephants, Cape buffalo, as well as hippos and Nile crocodiles plus bird species. Enjoy a 3-hour cruise and thereafter transfer to your lodge in a game drive style for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Rise early for a cup of tea and head out on a game drive into the Kasenyi plains in search of mammals. Return for full breakfast and transfer further southwest of Uganda to Bwindi Forest. Along the way via Ishasha Wilderness, you may spot tree climbing lions if you are lucky. Arrive at your lodge set on the edge of the forest. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas therefore provides the best chance to see gorillas in their natural habitat. Dinner and overnight stay

Day 6: Gorilla tracking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Enjoy a guided mountain gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Your trek starts at 07:00am after breakfast, you will head to the center for briefing on gorilla rules. You are advised to dress well for the jungle and take snacks, packed lunch or drinking water. You will be led by professional rangers to search for gorillas. Note that the trek can be as short as 1 hour or longer than 5 hours depending on the movement of gorillas. But once gorillas are found, visitors can spend an hour taking photos and gain an interesting perspective about the Silverback. Return back to the center and settle for lunch. After tracking gorillas, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 7: Transfer to Kigali Rwanda

After breakfast, you can take a boat ride to explore the beautiful islands of Lake Bunyonyi. Thereafter, depart Uganda and cross the border to Kigali, Rwanda. This journey offers beautiful view of Virunga volcanoes and it can take about 3-hour drive. Arrive at your hotel early afternoon and settle for lunch. Relax the rest of the day. Depending on flight schedule, you can go on Kigali city tour. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a place for remembrance and learning about peace and ensure that it never happens again. This cemetery is the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against the Tutsi. Transfer to Kigali airport for departure.
