13 Days Wildlife and Primate Safari
These 13 days exclusive wildlife and primate safari, will cover almost all of Uganda’s most iconic safari destinations.
Starting from Entebbe International Airport where you will be picked up by our representative and transfer to your lodge or be transferred directly to the first destination of the safari depending on your arrival time which will be Murchison Falls National Park via the home of the Southern white rhinos.

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Upon your arrival at the airport in Entebbe, our tour representative/guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your Hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Depart for Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino
Start your day by having a heavy breakfast at your Hotel in Entebbe. The guide will then come and pick you up and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park which is Uganda’s largest National park. The park is a habitat for animals like elephants, buffaloes, giraffe and a variety of antelopes. En route, you will stop at the famous Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to trek and see the southern white rhinos on foot. Ziwa Rhino sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild and for many travlers visiting Uganda; it is a must to visit this unique wildland.
You will then proceed and visit the famous Murchison Falls, this is the world’s most powerful waterfalls and from here you will witness one of earth’s most magnificent encounters. Every second the Murchison falls powers water equivalent to 200 bathtubs that is to say 3000 cubic meters per second.

Day 3: Early morning Safari and Afternoon Boat Trip
Today with our packed breakfast, you will go for a game drive on the Northern Bank of River Nile. The activity takes about 3-5 hours and Wildlife in the Park includes elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, Hartebeest, Uganda kobs, Oribis and waterbucks. After the drive you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for a launch cruise on the Albert Nile which will give you an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Along the cruise, you will encounter crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the river banks like kingfishers, cormorants, bee-eaters and the rare shoebill stork. Dinner and overnight

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Albert
After a heavy breakfast, you will set out for Lake Albert. You will arrive in time for lunch after which you will have a short tour around the fishing villages, local communities and local fishermen. Alternatively, you can take a short boat cruise on the lake. Dinner and overnight

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Today after breakfast, you will transfer to Kibale forest National Park. It is almost a half day drive or even longer from Lake Albert and en route, you will bypass big tea plantations. You will have lunch in Fort portal town after which you will proceed to the park. Relax (Camp fire) and later have dinner and overnight

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
After breakfast, you will set out to track our closest relatives, the Chimpanzees. Kibale Forest is famously known as the world’s primate capital because it is home to about 13 species of primates. After lunch go for a nature walk in the Bigodi swamp area and look out for most of the water loving bird species. The Park has almost 335 species of birds and therefore a good place for birders. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the south of Kibale National Park. It is just a 2 hours drive so you will have lunch at your lodge and after prepare for a sunset safari in the medley of wonders.
You may be able to see a lot of animal species such as the Elephants, lions, buffaloes, Leopards, monkeys such as the black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys etc.
Other animals that can be seen are the bush pigs and the warthogs. Return late in the evening for dinner and overnight stay

Day 8: Early morning Safari and Afternoon Boat on the Kazinga channel
Early in the morning with our packed breakfast, we will go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park area which is well known as the Kob mating grounds and therefore in this place one is able to see a lot of kobs and other antelopes like the waterbucks, and the hyenas. Other animals can also be spotted such as the Elephants, lions, and many more. This takes 2-3 hours and after your guide will take you a suitable place to have your breakfast while viewing the crater lakes.
Return to the camp for lunch and in the afternoon go for a Launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. You may be able to see a lot of crocodiles along the channels bank sides, a lot of the hippopotamus since in Africa this place is regarded as the highest concentration of the hippos, elephants taking water and a lot of bird species at the pelican point. Return for dinner and overnight stay late in the evening.

Day 9: Transfer to Ishasha sector for the Tree Climbing Lions
Today after breakfast, you will transfer to the southern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Ishasha, home to the world’s famous tree climbing lions. The best time to see them is in early hours of the morning.
You will proceed to your lodge for lunch and relaxation and in the evening do a sunset safari in the Ishasha plains.

Day 10: Morning Safari and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This morning after having breakfast at the lodge, you will set out for the game drive in Ishasha area and expect to see the rare tree climbing lions. The lions can be seen up on the fig trees. However, it’s not a guarantee that the lions will be seen. Sometimes it depends on the luck and time of reaching the area. You will have lunch in the Ishasha sector and after you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in preparation for your next day Gorilla trek. Dinner and overnight stay

Day 11: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Experience
Early in the morning after breakfast, your guide will take you to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking before you head into the forest to look for them.
This is a once in a life time experience and an unforgettable adventure. You will be given 2 armed ranger guides who will lead you and your tracking group into the thick forest and start your search for the endangered Mountain Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about 1hour. The activity can take 6-7 hours since the gorillas move up and down. This is an awesome and exciting moment, you are advised to go with packed lunch, and at least 2 liters of drinking water. In the evening you will go and visit one of Africa’s most ancient tribal groups, the Batwa group of people. These are the people who used to share the forest with gorillas before it was gazette as a protected area and they will show you how they used to survive with wild animals back then.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and Sunset Boat Trip
Today not so early, we shall drive from Bwindi to Africa’s second deepest lake (Lake Bunyonyi). This is for many travelers a thrilling visit since Lake Bunyonyi is the only place where foreigners are allowed to swim. It is free from any disease most especially bilharzia and it is one of the world’s most beautiful lakes.
Have lunch and rest and in the evening take on a boat to explore the hidden gems around this beautiful place. You will return late in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Transfer to Entebbe
Today will be a sad day because that will mark the end of our 13 days of exploring the Pearl of Africa. After having our breakfast at the lodge, we will drive back to Entebbe with a stop at the Equator for lunch and some snapshot and then after proceed back to the airport for your departure back home.
Please make sure your flight time on this day is late in the evening or at night because it takes about 9 hours of driving from Lake Bunyonyi to Entebbe.
